Sylvanian Families donates toys to Children’s Air Ambulance service

Epoch making toys is donating 1,000 toys to hospital-bound children in need of some light-hearted cheer.

Sylvanian Families has been inspiring children’s imaginations for over 30 years, but a donation to the Children’s Air Ambulance charity means the tiny woodland animals will now delight sick children in hospitals across the UK.

Epoch making toys, the company behind Sylvanian Families, is donating 1,000 toys to hospital-bound children, including sets of the iconic Beechwood Hall – the brand’s best-selling product every Christmas – and many of the family sets including the iconic Walnut Squirrels and Bramble Hedgehogs.

Children benefitting from the life-saving services of the Children’s Air Ambulance are often away from the familiarity of their homes for many weeks at a time, having been transferred by helicopter to specialist hospitals all over the UK. Epoch hopes that its Sylvanian Families donation will provide some joy for the children and their loved ones during these difficult times.

Neil Bandtock, managing director, Epoch making toys, commented: “As with most charities, the Children’s Air Ambulance can only operate with donations so it’s fantastic to be able to give some of our Sylvanian Families toys to bring moments of happiness to children caught up in these distressing situations.”

The Children’s Air Ambulance is the only national service dedicated to transferring critically sick babies and children to emergency care four times faster than if they were to go by road.
