The April issue of Toy World is out now

Published on: 2nd April 2024

The April issue of Toy World contains all the latest developments in the Games & Puzzles, Pocket Money and Pre-school categories plus a whole host of profiles and insights from the industry.

The bumper 186-page April issue of Toy World is out now, and can be read both in print and online.

This issue contains features on Games & Puzzles, Pocket Money Toys & Collectibles and Pre-School Toys, taking an in-depth look at the three categories with the help of leading suppliers in each.

Rachael Simpson-Jones spoke with Spin Master about plans for this year – the company’s 30th anniversary – along with how 2024 has been bolstered by a strong set of Q4 results.

The Very Group shared with Toy World how, despite a challenging year for the industry, the online retailer entered 2024 off the back of a very strong Christmas performance which saw Toys & Games play a pivotal role in driving sales.

The issue also has Q&A features with both PMI, on its announcement as master toy partner for animated pre-school show Creature Cases from Sony Pictures Television – Kids, and Ravensburger, about the strengths of the company’s puzzle portfolio and what there is to look forward to in 2024.

Caroline Tonks met one of the artists behind Ravensburger’s Disney Lorcana to learn about the release of the third instalment of the Trading Card Game, titled Into the Inklands.

On top of all this, the issue also brings readers the latest news and opinion pieces from regular expert contributors including Jon Chambers from Generation Media, Stephen Barnes and Mark Buschhaus from Toy Barnhaus, Melissa Symonds from Circana, and Rick Derr from Learning Express, as well as our popular Talking Shop feature, in which indie retailers share the latest on best-sellers, footfall and what this year might look like.

Don’t forget, the team is now well and truly stuck into preparation for the May issue of Toy World which will include a first-ever Toymaster May show supplement. Readers can still be involved if they act quickly. The deadline for editorial is today (but check with the team if this is a problem), while the deadline for adverts will be 15th April.
