Zodiak Kids has announced the sale of its brand new 52 x 11’ preschool animation, Lilybuds, in the UK.

Sony Pictures Television Networks (SPTN) UK has licensed the new animation series, which will be broadcast later this year on the pre-school channel Tiny Pop.

The series is produced by Zodiak Kids Studio France for Discovery Kids Latin America, with the participation of France Télévisions, both of which launched the series this summer.

The series follows the adventures of a playful community of tiny magical gardeners known as Lilybuds. This fraternity of friends, each with a big personality, are united in purpose to tend to the extraordinary garden where they live, while caring for all the animal creatures that live nearby.

The creative team behind Lilybuds includes Zodiak Kids Studios’ Creative Creative Officer Eryk Casemiro as Executive Producer, and Head Writer, Kate Boutilier (Rugrats, Poppy Cat, The Mr. Men Show).

International broadcasters already on board for the series include: Tiji (France), Discovery MENA (Middle East), Canal Panda (Portugal), DeA Junior (Italy), RTS (French-speaking Switzerland) and Knowledge (Canada).

Additionally, Zodiak Kids recently appointed European licensing partners Biplano as the licensing agent in Italy, Spain and Portugal, alongside Sagoo for France.

Zodiak Kids owns worldwide distribution and licensing rights to Lilybuds and will be rolling out a full consumer products programme for the property. The business will be showcasing the property at MIPCOM stand number C20.A, and at BLE stand number B35.
