VTech celebrates inaugural appearance at Kidtropolis

Published on: 25th October 2019

The brand put its new Turbo Force Racers into the hands of excited fans.

VTech created the ultimate Turbo Force Racers racetrack for kids to race against their friends at Kidtropolis, which took place at London’s Excel Centre and saw a footfall of over 18,000.

Popular YouTuber Beau’s Toys Farm and his friends were also on hand to show the children how to use the cars, as well as passing on tips and hints on how to perform tricks and stunts. Once the racing was over, the children stepped up to the winner’s podium to receive a trophy and medal, creating a special picture moment as a memory from the day.

Charlotte Drake, senior brand manager VTech, commented: “It was amazing to see the product come to life on such an epic Turbo Force Racers racetrack. There was a real excitement around the stand as ours was the only hands-on interactive racing car activity at the event, and the children loved going head-to-head against each other.”

The launch of Turbo Force Racers has also been supported by extensive TV advertising, an integrated digital marketing campaign, a content-led influencer partnership with Beau’s Toy Farm and PR outreach.

Suitable for children aged 6-9 years, the new Turbo Force Racers are remote controlled from innovative Turbo Station wristbands and are charged through movement while docked on the wrist. Kids simply shake the wrist to supercharge the car’s turbo feature, then watch as the vehicle zooms off at the press of a button.

The fully equipped portable remote-control wristbands, available in four colours, include a selection of buttons to trigger fun and interactive responses. Budding race drivers will be thrilled with their own track, which can be re-configured into four different combinations; two racer circuits or two stunt tracks. Each product comes with a Turbo Force Racer & Turbo Station wristband.
