Published on: 4th March 2019

The launch marks the third UK attraction opening for the Peter Rabbit TV series and a further expansion of the live events category for the brand in the UK.

Silvergate Media, together with Penguin Ventures, has announced that Peter Rabbit will be joining the CBeebies Land line-up at Alton Towers Resort, from 23rd March 2019. The Emmy-award winning pre-school Peter Rabbit TV series is a co-production between Silvergate Media, Nickelodeon and Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd (part of Penguin Random House).

In the past three years, Silvergate Media has also opened and expanded the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground at Willows Activity Farm in Hertfordshire and a Peter Rabbit Adventure experience at Flamingo Land in the North East.

“Our partnership with Alton Towers and BBC Studios underlines the enduring appeal that Peter Rabbit and his adventures have for families. The Hippity Hop ride is an exciting and fun-packed way for young fans to engage with this beloved character,” commented Lisa Macdonald, SVP Consumer Products and TV Sales EMEA, at Silvergate Media.

“It’s been a real delight to develop the Hippity Hop ride with the team at Merlin Entertainments and BBC Studios. The ride really captures the adventurous spirit of the TV show brilliantly, and we are sure that young fans will be thrilled to experience Peter’s world in this brand-new way,” added Thomas Merrington, creative director Penguin Ventures, on behalf of Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd.
