Smyths store opening welcomes Jurassic guest

Published on: 19th March 2019

A giant 4.5 metre long Schleich dinosaur will lend its presence to the opening of Lincoln’s latest toy store.

Smyths Toys Superstores will open its first Lincoln store at the Tritton Retail Park on Saturday 23rd March. Schleich will bring its giant T-Rex model along to the official store opening; shoppers can see it on display from 9am-4pm outside the new store.

Schleich’s 4.5 metre long dinosaur will add extra fun to Smyth’s Toys opening day event, and will create a great photo opportunity for people who love all things Jurassic.

Paul Dearlove, trade marketing manager, Schleich UK, said: “It’s a huge challenge to move our T-Rex around the country, but it’s worth seeing the kids’ faces when we do. He remains a favourite with children of all ages.”

Smyths Toys currently has over 100 stores throughout the UK & Ireland. The arrival of a new toy store will be a welcome boost for the city, which lost its Toys R Us store after the retailer entered administration last year.
