Big Potato uses London taxis to advertise new party games

Published on: 15th October 2019

As Christmas approaches, the Shoreditch-based board game company is opting to advertise its games on black cabs in London.

Indie board game company Big Potato has recently launched a series of taxi adverts to give commuters a taste of its brand new party games. In the run up to Christmas, the team has joined forces with Taxi Media to create digital ads that can be found on taxi tops around London.

The first ad features The Blockbuster Game, the officially-licensed party game for anyone who’s ever seen a movie. The second features What Came First, a brand new trivia game that’s all about picking sides and betting big.
The taxi ads are Big Potato’s first step into the world of outdoor advertising.

Becky McKinlay, head of marketing, said: “Every year, we strive to do something a little bit different with our marketing. We’ve been growing each year, and as the company gets bigger it allows us to try cool things like outdoor advertising. Taxi Media has been a great company to work with and the team has been offering advice and guidance to ensure that our ads look good and get noticed.”

From now until Christmas, Londoners and tourists can keep their eyes peeled for the taxi tops passing by. For more information on Blockbuster and What Came First, visit bigpotato.com.
