Tactic Games UK appoints Playtime PR as retained agency

Published on: 9th January 2018

Tactic Games UK has appointed Playtime PR, on a retained basis as it embarks on an ambitious growth strategy in 2018.

Tasked with handling all trade and consumer PR and media relations for Tactic and its entire range of toys and games, Playtime will place special emphasis on multiple new product launches and revamps slated for the year.

Jeremy Pateman, country director, Tactic Games UK, commented: “This is an incredibly exciting year for us. We’ll be bringing numerous innovative new toys and games to market, whilst also refreshing a number of our existing titles in order to help grow our retail distribution in the UK. It’s therefore vitally important that we breathe new life into our marketing efforts, boosting our profile with both trade and consumer audiences. We’re thrilled to have Playtime on board, and confident that their expertise in the toys and games sector will ensure Tactic products are on media, retailer and consumer radars.”

Playtime PR’s founder and managing director, Lesley Singleton, added: “Tactic is a games company with 50 years of heritage, a reputation for quality and a ridiculously well-stocked games cupboard that we can’t wait to dive into. Our plans include taking Tactic’s portfolio into new arenas with wider marketing activations and events, supported by hardcore, quality media relations. There are plenty of gems that we look forward to getting into the right hands this year, and – having had a sneak peek at the new ranges on the horizon – I’m confident it’s going to be a very special year for Tactic. We’re really pleased that they’ve asked us to join their team.”
