Alpha Group reaffirms launch of Screechers Wild!

Published on: 15th February 2018

Company is standing behind its product following recent allegations of patent infringement.

The Alpha Group LLC, a subsidiary of The Alpha Group, continues to fully support and execute the launch of Screechers Wild!, undeterred by Spin Master’s allegations of patent infringement. The Alpha Group has retained specialised international law firms to defend its rights.

Already successfully launched in North America, Europe and parts of Asia, its toy lines and animated properties are off to a strong start. Screechers Wild! remains a major global priority with new products and animation continuing to be released throughout 2018 and 2019.

Kenny Cao, Alpha Group’s senior vice president, commented: “We take intellectual property rights very seriously. As an owner of a large and diverse portfolio of intellectual property and patents, we greatly respect proprietary rights and stand behind each and every product we manufacture.”

Jean-Christophe Pean, president international, Alpha Group, added: “We remain industry leaders because of an innovative portfolio and a solid commitment to our products and to fair competition. We stand by our products and will continue to launch as planned. We’d like to thank our global retail and broadcast partners for their continued support”.

Spin Master launched a lawsuit earlier this week against Alpha Group US and Alpha Animation and Toys. The Canadian toymaker alleges the transformation feature in Alpha Group’s Screechers Wild! toys infringes on its patents covering its Bakugan toys.
