Kingsley Li appointed business development manager, and Playtime appointed as retained UK PR agency.

Rollplay, manufacturer of children’s ride-on vehicles, launches under its own brand in the UK this month. Signaling its commitment to the UK market, the company has appointed Kingsley Li as business development manager UK. Kingsley has over 20 years’ experience having held roles at Schleich, Epoch making toys, Playmobil, Hasbro, K’Nex and Tomy. In addition, the brand has also hired specialist toy PR agency, Playtime PR, to oversee all UK trade and consumer PR activity on an ongoing basis.

For more than 20 years, the company has been combining quality and technical knowhow with realistic designs and an engaging driving experience. Kingsley and the Rollplay team will now focus on building the UK business with both domestic distribution channels and drop-shipping options. Within the EMEA headquarters in Germany, Rollplay also offers a quality after-sales service and is part of Goodbaby International, a global leading manufacturer of juvenile products.

As well as an assortment of licensed vehicles including Porsche, BMW, VW, Audi, Mercedes, Mini Cooper and General Motors, there’s also a full portfolio of Rollplay-branded ride-ons.

Kingsley commented: “With key high performance launches this year including the new Nighthawk – a sit, slide and glide ride for preteens available from July – plus the off-road Monster Truck launching in September, and the 24v drift-style Turnado which is available now, this is a really exciting time for Rollplay as it enters the UK market. I’m delighted to have joined the company and looking forward to building the brand in the UK.”

Christian Alsbaek, general manager EMEA, added: “I am convinced the Rollplay concept will grow the category in the UK and ROI market, bringing fun and excitement to end consumers. As part of the Goodbaby International Group, we have a strong partner on our side to ensure success. Together with our solid and competent team, we will bring a lot of fun to UK households.”
