Board Game Club reveals details of June event

Published on: 6th June 2018

The event will take place at Soho members’ club, Century’ with new word game, Frenetic, to take centre stage.

Board Game Club’s next event will take place from 6.30pm on Wednesday 20th June at its new home in London’s Soho, Century.

The games menu for the night will be packed full of finds from this year’s UK Games Expo – including Sakura and High Society from Osprey Games, Coiledspring’s Okiya, dexterity classic Riff Raff and Uwe Rosenberg’s Indian Summer and two-player Patchwork.

Taking centre stage as the night’s featured play is Frenetic – the brand new word game with a scientific twist, from sibling games designers Graeme & Fiona Fraser-Bell, who will also be there. Using element symbols of the Periodic Table, players race against the clock to form as many words as possible using the Element symbol tiles, and score points equivalent to the atomic numbers of each tile used to create the word.

Board Game Club co-founder, Lesley Singleton, commented: “Frenetic went down a storm at UK Games Expo, so we’re looking forward to introducing it to our guests on 20th June. Plus we have so many great new games that we picked up at the show so there’s plenty for people to choose from and something to suit every taste!”

Now in its fifth year, Board Game Club has established itself as a fun, informal night of board gaming. It’s free to attend – simply register on the guest list by emailing boardgameclub@playtimepr.com or sign-up at www.boardgameclub.net.

Brands interested in working with Board Game Club are welcome to provide games for the menu or use Board Game Club as a showcase event for their ranges. Contact lesley@playtimepr.com for more information.
