Pokémon launches special event days at Hamleys Regent Street

Published on: 12th November 2018

Two days of Pokémon activity will take place at London’s world-famous toy shop on 17th and 18th November.

Visitors to the renowned Regent Street Hamleys store will have an opportunity to meet Pokémon favourites Pikachu and Eevee, and will be able to step into a giant Pokémon snow globe for the ultimate festive selfie. Collectors and players who spend £10 or more on selected Pokémon Trading Card Game products in store will also receive a limited-edition promo card featuring Suicune*.

The activities run from 10am-4pm on Saturday 17th November, and from noon to 5pm on Sunday 18th November.

In addition, a new branded Pokémon gondola on the fifth floor of Hamleys will display a range of products including the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which is the UK’s market leader (NPD 2018, Strategic Card Game category) and earlier this year won the Pocket Money Toy of the Year at the Toy Industry Awards. The new toy range from Wicked Cool Toys distributed by Character Options will also be available at Hamleys. Its new action figures and plush —both central pillars of the Pokémon toy range — plus role-play items capture the joy of Pokémon.

Peter Murphy, senior director of marketing and licensing at The Pokémon Company International, commented: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Hamleys for this exciting promotion in the world-famous Regent Street store. As the oldest toy shop in the world, Hamleys is the perfect setting to discover Pokémon products and to meet Pikachu and Eevee, and we are sure that customers will enjoy the Pokémon fun across the weekend.”

Pokémon’s new video games, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, launch the same weekend (16th November) exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
