Trailers launched for Pokemon: Detective Pikachu and Toy Story 4

Published on: 14th November 2018

Both films are set for UK cinema release in 2019.

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (also known as Detective Pikachu) is an upcoming family film directed by Rob Letterman and written by Nicole Perlman and Letterman, based on the video game of the same name.

The film is an American and Japanese joint venture produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, Legendary Pictures, and The Pokémon Company. It will be the first live-action film based on the Pokémon franchise. The film stars Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Detective Pikachu, with Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton and Ken Watanabe in live-action roles.

It is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in RealD 3D 5th October 2019, making it the first Pokémon film to get a wide theatrical release in the United States since Pokémon 3: The Movie in 2001.

Wicked Cool Toys is the global master toy partner for Pokemon Detective Pikachu, and Jeremy Padawer, co-president and partner of Wicked Cool Toys posted on LinkedIn: “This has all the potential to be the biggest movie of 2019. We had the opportunity to read the script almost a year ago, and it’s so terrific.”

Two trailers for the eagerly anticipated Toy Story 4 have also been released. Produced by Pixar Animation Studios, and released by Walt Disney Pictures, the fourth (and assuredly final) installment of the franchise sees all cast members from the previous films (with the exception of Don Rickles) return to voice their characters. The film is set to be released in theatres on 21st June, 2019, in RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, and IMAX 3D.
