Dolu to make its debut at London Toy Fair

Published on: 21st January 2019

The Turkish toy company has also quadrupled its stand size in Nuremberg.

Talking to Dolu’s UKs representative Steve Richardson in Hong Kong, he was delighted to report his daughter has now been working with him for 16 months and Dolu enjoyed a very successful year in 2018: “Our turnover increased by 21% in the UK last year. Over the past three years, Dolu as a company has grown by more than 40% and now supplies over 80 Countries. For 2019 in the UK we hope to more than double last year’s growth, which taking overall the toy business in the UK last year might sound optimistic, but if you visit our stand at Olympia or in Nuremberg you will understand why”.

According to Steve: “There are now over 300 products in the range. We are launching 60 new products this year, and we’ll be unveiling some of the hottest new lines at the Toy Fairs in London and Nuremberg. I’m particularly excited about our new Unicorn range, I think that is going to be very popular, based on the positive feedback in HK.”

The Dolu range includes outdoor products such as Play Houses, Slides, Sit n Rides, Trikes, etc, and has doubled its offering of tractors to 11 different options, including a Pink Unicorn version. It also has desks, easels, a new kitchen range, play trucks, and new for this year JumBlocks building blocks that are compatible with the leading brand – available in Unisex and Unicorn design Pink and Purple.

One of Dolu’s key strengths is that it produces European quality product at extremely keen prices delivered in GBP, many products actually land in the UK at more competitive prices than comparable Far East product, without the need for the minimum order quantities and long lead times that are associated with Chinese goods. To support the company’s expansion, a new 55,000 square metre facility is in the process of being built just outside Istanbul, which will comprise a state-of-the art factory, 1000m2 showroom and warehouse. The new facility is expected to be operational in 2020.

Regardless of what happens with Brexit, Dolu will be unaffected, as Turkey is not part of the EU.

Dolu can be found on stand G101 at London Toy Fair and in Nuremberg in Hall 5 B76. To make an appointment, email sales@sjr-associates.co.uk.
