Current CEO Danny Kwok will continue to provide leadership in a new role within the Global Business Unit.

WeVeel has announced that Valerie Marderosian has been named chief executive officer. She joins WeVeel from the position of vice president of Marketing & Product Development for IG Design Group Americas. Valerie will be replacing WeVeel’s CEO of three years, Danny Kwok, who will continue to provide leadership in a new role within the Global Business Unit.

Established in 2009, WeVeel is a leading manufacturer and global distributor of innovative and creative party, stationery, craft and toy products, whose brands include Scentos, Chalkadoos, Sugar Rush, Whackables, Twistios and more.

“It has been an immense honour to be the CEO of WeVeel and to lead such a dynamic team,” said Danny. “I am extremely proud of the achievements we’ve made over the last three years. Our sales are up over 30% from 2019, we have a broader global customer base, new process implementations, ERP integration, and have expanded our core product categories.”

Valerie Marderosian joins WeVeel with 40 years of industry experience in both entrepreneurial start-ups and established firms such as 4 Kids Company, where she was president and chief creative officer, and iLoveToCreate/Duncan Enterprises, where she was senior vice president and chief creative officer. At 4 Kids, Valerie led an international team of 250 colleagues that launched 800+ SKUs annually. In her 20+ years with Duncan, she was a member of the Strategic Management Council and executive staff for 13 of those years. She led the Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Creative teams, and established distribution in over 40 countries.

WeVeel is a subsidiary of Ningbo Paramont Import & Export Co. “With Valerie’s breadth of business experience, she is the perfect fit to build on our successes and lead WeVeel into the future,” added William Yang, Chairman of Ningbo Paramont.

The appointment will be effective from 18th January 2021.
