Toymaster has announced that John Testori of Bambola Toymaster, St Helier, Jersey is to be appointed to the board of Toymaster as a non-executive director on 1st September 2021. Bambola has been a member of Toymaster since 1989, and operates two toy stores in St Helier.

John’s appointment will be placed before the shareholders for their approval at the 2022 Annual General Meeting in Harrogate, which will be held on the evening of 18th May at the Toymaster May Show.

In a statement, chairman Chris Blatcher said: “I hope you will all join me in supporting John’s appointment and wish him every success in serving the members of Toymaster in the future.”

John’s experience and expertise in toys will stand him in good stead as a member of the Toymaster board. This year, Bambola celebrates its 60th anniversary. Speaking to Toy World earlier this summer, John said: “We have built up strong relationships with our suppliers over the years, and between the seven of us in the Bambola team, we have racked up over 100 years’ experience.”

“We have been in our Parade store for 60 years,” he added. “However, our future will be in the other store as it is bigger, and we own it. In the autumn of 2022, we will be expanding those premises, taking over the adjacent property to create an even bigger central shop. There is plenty to look forward to.”
