Published on: 17th May 2022

Toy World spoke to suppliers to find out how they go above and beyond to support Toymaster members and independent toy retailers in the UK & Ireland.

As the Toymaster show kicks off, Toy World explores how many suppliers are keen to offer extensive support, on everything from window display programmes to MOQs, demo stock to event support and more. Amy Saunders of Just Play commented: “Independents are experts at creating lasting memories and we’re committed to supporting this in any way we can.”

Toy World spoke to Nicola Bergot of Magic Box Toys, Lewi Hillier of Click Distribution, Jeremy Pateman of Toys2Market, Mary Wood of Tomy, Nicola Fox- Haggarty of Hasbro, Paul Dearlove of Schleich UK & Ireland, Katy Fletcher of Ravensburger, Simon Prest of Orchard Toys, Amy Saunders of Just Play, Adam Moore of Playmobil, David Mordecai of One For Fun, James Connolly of Mojo Fun, David Allan of Toynamics UK & Ireland, Florian Loh of Bruder, Kate Gibson of Gibsons Games, Clive Wooster of Geomagworld, Nikki Janowski of Bladez Toyz, Carmel Wright of DKL-Beysal, Steve Asbey of Cheatwell Games and Chris Beardmore of Learning Resources.

Mary Wood says that Tomy takes a special pride in having a strong and ever-growing business with independent toy retailers. “Our relationships are as important as our brands,” she explains. “The Toymaster Show is a must-visit event in our calendar. We very much appreciate the opportunity to be able to meet again in person and share plans for new launches which we think will be a good fit for our Toymaster and independent customers.”

We’ll leave the last word to James Connolly of Mojo Fun. “More than anything, we want indie retailers to know that we’re nice people to do business with,” he says.
