Breaking News: Hamleys’ Top 10 Toys for Christmas revealed

Hamleys’ selection of Top 10 Toys for Christmas 2022 includes fan-favourite properties and a variety of play patterns, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Hamleys, the ‘Finest Toy Shop in the World’, has today unveiled its Top 10 Toys for Christmas, focusing on iconic brands and choosing toys that it says will be for more than just the festive season.

This year’s chosen Top 10 Toys, which start from just £22, have been curated by the Hamleys expert buying team. Among those toys and games that made the list are favourites parents will remember from their own childhoods, including Mattel and Play Doh – demonstrating that much loved toys really do stand the test of time. Families will recognise hot properties including Peppa Pig and CoComelon’s JJ plus evergreen characters such as Buzz Lightyear and Barbie.

“Recognised brands dominate the Top 10 Toy picks this year, with products that will resonate with parents just as much as children this Christmas,” says Victoria Kay, head of Buying at Hamleys. “We are confident that by selecting these products, parents will be making a wise investment in gifts that will be played with well into the future. With iconic characters featuring in the list, we know we have chosen the very best, most wanted toys from strong brands that will be cherished by families as they grow.”

The Top 10 Toys list features picks for early years play, with the educational CoComelon’s JJ Boo Boo talking figure, and a classic Hamley Panda Plush Bear, the perfect companion for bedtime. Fun for all age groups, One Trick Pony and Tick Tock Brick Knock offer endless hours of entertainment, either by being enjoyed as the traditional Christmas board game or played at family gatherings at other times of the year.

Ideal for tech-loving pre-teens, Hamleys’ buying team has chosen the Ralleyz Jumping Sumo as a Top 10 Toy this year, whilst X-Shot Skins the Last Stand will see battles being fought (and won) over Christmas and beyond.

The Play Doh Ice Cream Truck can be enjoyed and then passed from siblings to friends, and Disney’s Lightyear Jetpack Buzz is sure to become a collectible for kids of all ages.
