L-R: John Baulch, Clara Blasco and Axel Dammler

Each year, the international TrendCommittee for the Spielwarenmesse identifies three ToyTrends that offer guidance to retailers in their range selection. How they scout out these trends is explained in the latest edition of the Spielwarenmesse Podcast.

The guests taking part in this latest episode of the podcast are three members of the TrendCommittee: John Baulch, publisher of Toy World Magazine (from Great Britain), and two market researchers, Clara Blasco from Spain and Axel Dammler from Germany.

In conversation with Marco Jahn of the Spielwarenmesse, the trio will be offering insights into their work on the TrendCommittee and presenting the 2023 ToyTrends, which are: Discover!, Brands for Fans and MetaToys, in more detail. In addition, they will be discussing how the toy industry has changed in recent years and what, in their opinion, makes the Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg so special.

You can read more about each of the three selected ToyTrends here.

In the ToyTrends experiential environment of Hall 3A at the Spielwarenmesse in February, each trend will have its own area. These areas provide information alongside relevant products, which will offer a live experience and invite the visitor to try them out.

Also, in the neighbouring Toy Business Forum, experts will give daily presentations which, alongside current industry topics and future challenges for the trade, will also cover the ToyTrends.

The new Spielwarenmesse podcast is now available in the Media Center at www.spielwarenmesse.de/media and on the audio streaming services Audible, Spotify, Apple Podcast, Amazon Music and Google Podcasts.
