And they’re off! Toy Trust Around the World in 80 Hours fundraising event starts today

Published on: 11th June 2021

The event starts today, and Toy World would like to wish good luck to all the companies and brave souls participating.

The toy industry has taken up the challenge to collectively circumnavigate the globe in 80 hours by any non-motorised means, with the event kicking off at 9am today. You can read more about the event here.

Spearheading the challenge are entrants from the BTHA, which founded the Toy Trust, the UK toy industry's charity. Other companies taking part include:

Funds will provide specialised trikes, bikes, wheelchairs and walking aids as well as other important mobility apparatus for deserving children. You can read more about the work of myAFK here and of Handicapped Children’s Action Group (HCAG) here.

Organiser Matt Jones of the Toy Trust told Toy World: “We’d like to thank everyone who is taking part in what we hope will be a fun and rewarding weekend. As usual, the response from the trade has been phenomenal, good luck to them all!”

Matt can be contacted for last minute queries on Matt@btha.co.uk, or see the event website here.
