Grants available for UK exhibitors at digital International Sourcing Show

Published on: 15th February 2021

The HKTDC International Sourcing Show will take place in both online and physical formats, integrating seven trade fairs originally scheduled for spring 2021.

The organisers say that the hybrid model Sourcing Show, which you can read more about here, has been designed to eliminate geographical barriers. The digital experience to be kicked off in March will allow businesses to plan ahead and prepare for the resumption of trade activities, as they continue to assess the markets and navigate through the new normal. The digital exhibition will run from 17th March this year.

It has been just been confirmed that DIT grants are available for eligible UK exhibitors who take part in the International Sourcing Show in March.

Any eligible UK company that participates in the event will receive a grant of 50% of the costs, for the online event only. That will mean a grant of £570 each.

Stuart Whitehill, of The Overseas Fairs division of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, told Toy World that the procedure to qualify is simple, and invited anyone interested to get in touch for more information. Stuart can be contacted on 01564 781865 or stuart@overseasfairs.co.uk.

The online exhibition is a showcase of products, ideas and information, dubbed ‘Your Source of Inspirations’ – the central theme of the show. Through the integrated online experience, buyers and suppliers will be able to explore, share and connect in effective ways to ensure sustainable business growth. On this one-stop platform, buyers can source the latest products from international suppliers in four key themes: Smart Home, Smart Play, Smart Style and Smart Tech. The Smart Play theme will encompass kids’ products including toys, as well as baby care and nursery products and equipment.

The physical HKCEC fair is scheduled to run from 26th until 29th July.
