Retail and distribution company, Kim Hin Joo (Malaysia) Bhd (KHJ) plans to open its first Mothercare, Early Learning Centre and The Entertainer stores in Kuantan this week. These new store openings are part of KHJ's commitment to expansion across Malaysia.

The new stores, located in east coast Mall in Kuantan, a city in Malaysia, feature a 6,500 square-foot retail space, offering a wide selection of products for mother and baby, including baby and kids clothing, home essentials, feeding products, strollers and car seats, toys and more.

The latest global opening for the Entertainer serves to further accelerate the group's international expansion, which the company has said is key to its long-term growth strategy.

Speaking earlier this year, as The Entertainer began its expansion into the Far East with KHJ, Gary Grant, founder and chief executive of The Entertainer, said “We are working with a great partner who has extensive knowledge of the category and the region, and we are confident that The Entertainer will achieve great things in the Far East.”

Besides expanding its physical presence in the rejion, KHJ also plans to revamp its ecommerce website to provide its customers with an equally enjoyable online shopping experience.

KHJ Managing director Pang Fu Wei said that, with nearly 34 years of delivering quality baby and mother products to the Malaysian market, the company is thrilled to introduce the three new retail concepts to the city of Kuantan.

He added: "We look forward to becoming part of the local Kuantan community and serving families in East Coast Malaysia.”
